Free church security plan template

This is a free church security plan template that begins where a plan should, with the four numbers the document has to commit to. A plan that says we take safety seriously commits nobody; a plan that says three trained members at the 9am service, one per 50 attendees by our own judgement, four drills a year at 45 minutes, two of the three holding current first aid, is a document a leadership team can approve and an insurer can read. The sheet works those four from figures you enter, including the coverage ratio, which is deliberately an input: it is your leadership's judgement, not ours, and the sheet publishes no standard. The ratio is yours, the arithmetic is not

One trained member per 50 attendees is the worked example's judgement, not a recommendation. Whatever ratio your leadership sets, 150 attendees divides by it into a team size, round up, and today's roster subtracts into a recruiting gap. On the example that is a team of three and one position to fill. Change the ratio and every downstream figure moves with it.

Drills cost hours, and the plan should say so

Four drills a year at 45 minutes with a team of three is nine team hours, before any service duty. A plan that schedules drills without counting their hours is scheduling cancellations. The sheet prints the annual cost so the commitment in the document is one the roster can actually keep.

What the template does not decide

Whether the team is armed, what the lockdown steps are, how the team communicates mid-service and what your insurer or your state requires are leadership and adviser decisions; the generated plan records them as your answers, it does not make them. The sheet scopes the plan; it does not practise law.
